Welcome to the official website for the City of Carmi and the Carmi Chamber of Commerce! We hope to give you an understanding of who is involved, how we take action and what our goals are for expanding business in the City of Carmi.

The Carmi Chamber of Commerce is an involved organization made up of over 100 businesses in Carmi and our region. We have been serving the Carmi community since 1944. We want to sustain and further develop a thriving economy in this area and enhance our community's quality of life. To achieve this, we have spearheaded several activities, including our community food basket drive at Thanksgiving and establishing a yearly scholarship presented to a qualified graduating senior from Carmi-White County High School.

In working closely with the White County Economic Development Group and director Sandra Irvine, we help sell Carmi and White County to the world to relocating businesses.

The number one reason companies join our Chamber is to make new business contacts and network. Networking is the key to building a successful business. Our programs are geared towards serving the needs of Carmi and all our businesses, large and small. Being able to do business with a fellow member of the Chamber can make all the difference.

Serving the small business owner is critical to what we do as an organization. Over 80 percent of our Chamber members are small businesses. Our new website should give smaller businesses another avenue with which to pursue business.
